About

Associate Professor Dr. Chaw Sook Hui practises as a Consultant Anaesthesiologist whose work centres on paediatric anaesthesia, so that even the youngest patients are cared for as safely and comfortably as possible. She holds an Associate Professor appointment at the Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Malaya, where her academic role and her clinical work reinforce one another. Her training at Universiti Malaya led to both a Master's degree and a PhD in Anaesthesia, giving her a research-informed grasp of her specialty. She went on to complete a Clinical Fellowship in Paediatric Anaesthesia at KK Women's and Children's Hospital in Singapore, an experience that sharpened her specialist skills in an institution devoted to child health. Her research contributions span perioperative pain management and paediatric anaesthesia, and she also mentors postgraduate medical candidates and has published in high-impact journals.
