Associate Professor Dr. Wong Chew Ming

Associate Professor Dr. Wong Chew Ming practises as a specialist in Internal Medicine and Nephrology at UM Specialist Centre (UMSC). Since 2014 he has been known for pioneering work in ABO-incompatible living donor kidney transplantation (ABOi LDKT) using a low-dose rituximab protocol. His research includes novel methods for predicting chronic kidney disease and investigating genetic associations in Malaysian patients. His leadership is recognised through roles in the Malaysian Society of Transplantation and through public education for the National Kidney Foundation of Malaysia. He has received accolades for excellent service, including a "Letter On Tribute to M'sian Doctors" and a Certificate of Merit.
