His commitment to improving patient care is expressed through research that pushes into new territory: he studies virtual reality as a means of managing pain in regional anaesthesia, works on refining antibiotic dosing in critical care, and develops patient-centered tools to strengthen preoperative assessment. Another strand of his work examines ultrasound-guided regional anaesthesia enhanced by augmented reality.
