At IIUM Kulliyyah of Medicine, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohd Faiz Md. Tahir serves as an Assistant Professor and psychiatrist. His practice brings together conventional psychiatry and the faith and cultural contexts that shape his patients' lives. In his research, he works to reduce psychosocial stigma in the workplace and to strengthen the mental well-being of employees. He also examines how psychiatrists and Muslim faith healers can work in synergy to deliver holistic patient care. Through his teaching on the 'Islamisation of Human Knowledge' in medicine, he is dedicated to bringing Islamic principles into medical education.
