Dato' Dr. Bavanandam Naidu Gopal is an Obstetrician, Gynaecologist, and Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist who has held extensive leadership roles in Malaysia. He formerly led the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Hospital Sultanah Bahiyah and earned an Honorary Fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine from the Royal Women's Hospital, Melbourne. Recognized as a specialist by the Ministry of Health, Malaysia, he has chaired national committees, was President of the Perinatal Society of Malaysia (2013/2014), and is both a founding member and treasurer of the Maternal Fetal Medicine Society of Malaysia. His clinical focus covers comprehensive pregnancy care, surgical procedures, and women's reproductive health. At present, he serves as a visiting Consultant and Clinical Professor at AIMST University. His contributions also include scientific presentations, research, and the development of national guidelines for obstetric care.
