Dr. Afida Sohana Awang Soh is a Senior Registrar in O&G at Hospital Wanita Metro. She earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from the University of Otago, New Zealand, in 2001, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Obstetrics with Distinction in 2004. She trained as a Senior Registrar and trainee with the Royal Australia and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists across various hospitals in New Zealand, and served as an Honorary Clinical Lecturer for O&G at the University of Otago. She returned to Malaysia in 2016 and has worked in several private hospitals. Dr. Afida is an active member of MedTweetMY (Medical Tweet Malaysia), an NGO that educates on health through mainstream platforms and social media, and she served as its Secretary from 2016 to 2022. She co-wrote Perang Melawan Mitos, a MedTweetMY book that was nominated for Best MPH Non Fiction Book 2017. She is also a member of OGSM (Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society of Malaysia) and MMA (Malaysian Medical Association).
