At Sunway Medical Centre, Dr. Ang Jin Kiat practises as a consultant psychiatrist and psychotherapist whose clinical interests cover mood disorders, personality disorders, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder. Psychotherapy and psychodynamic psychotherapy sit at the heart of his approach to care. His commitment to the field extends into academic life: he has held leadership positions with the National Conjoint Board of Psychiatry and the Malaysia Society of Behavioural Medicine, and he teaches the next generation of doctors as a senior lecturer at Universiti Putra Malaysia. Dr. Ang also works to reduce mental health stigma and to advocate for better care.
