Dr. Chhoa Keng Hong

Based at Timberland Medical Centre, Dr. Chhoa Keng Hong serves as a Consultant Neuropsychiatrist who has played a key part in widening the reach of neuropsychiatry services in Sarawak. His professional background includes work in both Malaysia and Australia, and he is a strong advocate of care that puts patients at the centre and draws on multidisciplinary teams. Dr. Chhoa's areas of expertise cover neuropsychiatry, general psychiatry, and neuromodulation therapies, among them transcranial direct current stimulation and transcranial magnetic stimulation. He contributes actively to teaching, research, and clinical practice, and his writing has appeared in reputable journals, with articles on schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and neurodegenerative conditions.
