At UKM, Dr. Hajar Mohd Salleh Sahimi serves as both a Psychiatrist and a Medical Lecturer. Her clinical practice centres on general psychiatry, with particular attention to psychological therapy, psychopharmacotherapy, and the mental health needs of children and adolescents. In Malaysia, she is recognised for having implemented Brief Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills training for Borderline Personality Disorder. Her research spans emotional regulation, mental health stigma, and the validation of screening instruments for the Malay population. She has also examined contemporary concerns, including how COVID-19 has affected mental health and smartphone use among medical students.
