About

Dr. Haji Helmy Haja Mydin serves as a Consultant Respiratory Physician and leads The Lung Centre at Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur. His work extends well beyond the clinic: he is a public health advocate and policy developer with a focus on healthcare reform and tobacco control, and he has been honoured with a "Young Physician Award" that recognised him globally. Among his contributions, he co-founded both Asthma Malaysia and Project SCOPE. He also sits on the boards of MDEC and MDA, where he helps shape Malaysia's digital transformation and medical device policy. In his patient care, Dr. Helmy believes in empowering individuals while tackling broader societal health challenges through clinical practice and strategic policy initiatives.
