Dr Ponnusamy Subramaniam

About

At the heart of Dr Ponnusamy Subramaniam's work is a commitment to improving life for people affected by memory problems. A Senior Lecturer and Chartered Psychologist, he focuses his academic and clinical efforts on Ageing and Dementia Studies, and has designed and put into practice psychosocial interventions for conditions that include Mild Cognitive Impairment and dementia. Beyond direct intervention, his research examines how the public views dementia as well as wider mental health concerns. His clinical psychology practice and supervision are complemented by a postdoctoral fellowship from CAMH, Toronto, giving his work a grounding in both scholarship and hands-on care.
