Dr. Ramasamy Ramanathan

About

Dr. Ramasamy Ramanathan is an obstetrician and gynaecologist with a keen interest in female and male fertility. He holds a Medical Degree from Crimea State Medical University, Ukraine, completed in 2009, and became a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (MRCOG) in London, UK, in 2019. He also holds a Cert in Assisted Reproductive Technology (SG).

His early clinical roles included House Officer at Hospital Kuala Lumpur from 2009 to 2011 and Medical Officer at Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun, Ipoh, from 2011 to 2016. He later undertook postgraduate studies at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, London, UK. He has attended various trainings on infertility, locally and abroad.

Dr. Ramasamy is a Member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (USA), a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrician and Gynecologist (USA), a Fellow of the Royal Society of Public Health (UK), and a Fellow of the International College of Surgeons (USA). He is an Active member of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), a Member of OGSM Malaysia, an Active committee member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, Malaysia, and a Committee member of FOCUS UK MRCOG (Post Graduate Exam).

He serves as a Part-time lecturer for UKM Medical Students at HTI and as an Online medical lecturer for UKM, UNIMAS and UiTM. He is described as down-to-earth and as someone who cares for patients.
