Dr. Saw Yee Horng

About

At Island Hospital, Dr. Saw Yee Horng practises as a Consultant Anaesthesiologist and Critical Care specialist, with patient safety and a high standard of care at the centre of his work. His medical degree, the Doctor of Medicine (MD), was awarded by Universiti Malaysia Sarawak, and he later completed a Master of Anaesthesiology (M. Anaes) at Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Malaysia. The National Specialist Register of Malaysia lists him in the fields of Anaesthesiology and Critical Care, an official recognition of his expertise.

Within the surgical support team, Dr. Saw plays an essential role, caring for patients across the whole surgical journey — from thorough pre-operative assessments through to the management of post-operative pain. His critical care background also places him at the heart of looking after patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Committed to keeping patients comfortable and well informed, he speaks English, Malay, Mandarin and Hokkien, allowing him to connect with a diverse patient community.
