With 25 years of practice behind him, Dr. Sham Kumar Sadanand is a highly experienced anaesthesiologist who heads both the anaesthesiology and intensive care departments at UCSI Hospital. His work spans a broad range of anaesthetic techniques suited to every kind of surgery, alongside intensive care. Anaesthesia for neurosurgery, cardiac surgery and other complex procedures ranks among his special interests, as does the management of septic shock and post-operative pain. He also brings experience in complex ventilation, cardiovascular support and renal replacement therapy. Dr. Sadanand is committed to delivering the highest standard of medical care, so that patients achieve the best possible outcomes, with excellent pain control and life support whenever it is required. Setting up and heading intensive care units is another area in which he has experience.
