At UKM, Dr. Shazli Ezzat Hj. Ghazali helped establish health psychology, and he practises as a Clinical and Health Psychologist. Stroke survivors' psychological rehabilitation is his particular focus: he stands as the sole health psychologist in Malaysia who works to improve these patients' physical function through psychological approaches. Alongside his role as an Associate Professor at UKM, he has made notable contributions to mass media, positioning him as a figure in mental health.
