Dr. Tee Swi Peng

About

Dr. Tee Swi Peng is a Fertility Consultant at Metro IVF. He holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Malaya (1982) and completed specialisation training in O&G at Seremban General Hospital, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, and John Radcliffe Hospital, University of Oxford, United Kingdom. He became a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 1989 and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRCOG). He also trained locally and at the National University of Singapore in 1992, and holds a postgraduate Diploma in Reproductive Medicine from the National Population & Family Development Board, Malaysia (LPPKN), in collaboration with Johns Hopkins' Programme for International Education in O&G. Additionally, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Computing (Hons) from the University of Portsmouth, UK, and a Master of Business Administration from University Tunku Abdul Rahman, Malaysia.

Dr. Tee is a pioneer fertility specialist in Malaysia. He started IVF services in 1994 and established Metro IVF Centre in Klang in 1996. The first IVF pregnancy was delivered in 2000. In 2008, he was a key initiator of IVF collaboration between private and public health institutions, including the Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah (Metro HTAR IVF Shared Care Programme) and UiTM (Metro UiTM Private Specialist Centre IVF Shared Care Programme). He has over 25 years of experience in IVF and led the Metro IVF team to internationally recognised success rates. The group has RTAC accredited IVF laboratories and expanded to multiple branches nationwide. It was publicly listed in February 2018 on Bursa Malaysia. Dr. Tee is also a Clinical Assistant Professor and Past President of the Malaysian Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (MSART).
