Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mohd Basri B. Mat Nor serves as a Professor and Senior Consultant in Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine. His subspecialty training was completed in Australia, and he holds the European Diploma in Intensive Care (EDIC). As a former President of the Malaysian Society of Intensive Care, he played a key role in shaping national ICU guidelines and antimicrobial guidelines. His research output includes over 100 impact papers and has attracted substantial grants, with a focus on optimizing critical care nutrition, antibiotic dosing, acute kidney injury, and mechanical ventilation. In addition, he is a dedicated educator who has supervised numerous postgraduate students and authored academic books, and he is recognized as one of IIUM's top researchers.
