Prof. Dr. Abdul Halim Abdul Gafor serves as a Professor and Senior Consultant Nephrologist, bringing deep experience across Internal Medicine and Nephrology. At Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, he has taken on leadership as Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic & International Affairs), and he previously held the positions of Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and President of the Malaysian Society of Nephrology. Beyond his clinical and academic duties, Dr. Abdul Halim is committed to mentoring the next generation of nephrologists and has contributed substantially to medical literature, with a research focus on Acute Kidney Injury (AKI). His approach to patient care at UKMSC centres on high-quality, personalized care that empowers patients towards optimal health.
