At Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Prof. Dr. Norfilza Mohd Mokhtar holds the position of Professor of Genome Medicine and leads the GUT Research Group. Her work centres on omics technology as applied to gastrointestinal diseases, alongside the effects of environmental factors on gut health, and she advances translational research together with collaborations across industry. Within health and advanced medicine clusters she takes on a leadership role, and she is committed to personalized patient care of a high standard while helping people work towards optimal health.
