Prof. Dr. Wong Kum Thong serves as a Professor of Pathology at the University of Malaya, bringing more than 36 years of experience to his role. His expertise spans Anatomical Pathology, Neuropathology, and Infectious Disease Pathology. He is known for his research on the Nipah virus and Enterovirus 71, work that has earned him both the Merdeka Award and the Mahathir Science Award. With over 243 published articles to his name, he also holds leadership positions, including Head of Pathology.
