About
Professor Dr. Ong Teng Aik is a Urologist whose practice centres on uro-oncology and minimally invasive surgery. At Universiti Malaya, he was the first to build a multidisciplinary uro-oncology team, and he went on to establish the Malaysian Prostate Cancer Registry. His training was completed in the UK, and he is a recipient of the BJUI Scholarship; he applies this background to complex cancer procedures. In his view, patient care works best as a shared effort, an approach reflected in the Uro-Oncology Combined Clinic he co-founded, which brings urologists and oncologists together for integrated care. His career has also included leadership posts such as Deputy Dean and Head of Surgery, alongside a substantial publication record.
