About
Professor Dr Wan Ariffin Abdullah has shaped Paediatric Haematology & Oncology in Malaysia, having set up the country's first Paediatric Oncology service beyond Kuala Lumpur. He has led both Paediatric Oncology and Haematology units, and his work has moved the specialty forward considerably. Beyond the hospital setting, he gives his time to humanitarian missions, serving in conflict zones and refugee camps. His standing in the field rests on international fellowships and more than 100 papers written with co-authors, and in 2016 he received the Malaysian Outstanding Asian Paediatrician award.
