At Subang Jaya Medical Centre, patients in need of endocrine care are seen by Professor Emeritus Dr Chan Siew Pheng, a Consultant Endocrinologist whose academic and clinical background is unusually deep. Her medical degree came from the University of Malaya, the same institution that later granted her the title of Professor Emeritus. Further training took her to Edinburgh, where she earned her Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP).

Dr Chan manages a broad range of endocrine conditions, among them diabetes, osteoporosis, and disorders affecting the thyroid, adrenal, and pituitary glands. She served as chairperson for the 6th Malaysian Clinical Practice Guidelines on the management of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, and she belongs to the Endocrine Society, USA, alongside local bodies including the Malaysian Osteoporosis Society and the Malaysian Endocrine and Metabolic Society. Her combination of scholarly work and hands-on clinical practice allows her to offer thorough, expert care to every patient she treats.
