Tan Sri Datuk Dr. Ampikaipakan Kandiah serves as a Consultant Respiratory Physician whose career reflects a deep commitment to both research and leadership. His work includes documenting the incidence of Sarcoidosis in Malaysia, and he has held key roles within the Malaysian Thoracic Society as Founder Secretary and later as President. He also served as Vice-Chancellor of AIMST University. Known for his expertise in Internal Medicine and Respiratory Medicine, he provided compassionate care as the personal physician to the 8th Prime Minister of Malaysia.
