Assoc Prof Dr. Tan Ai Huey

About

Assoc Prof Dr. Tan Ai Huey is a Consultant Neurologist and Physician at UM Specialist Centre, where she cares for patients living with neurological conditions. Her clinical focus centres on Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders, and she is also active as a clinician-scientist. She holds a PhD from Universiti Malaya, where she serves as an Associate Professor, and she has earned a Fellowship from the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, UK.

Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Tan contributes to the advancement of neurological science. Her research, which includes the gut-brain connection in neurodegenerative diseases, has appeared in medical journals such as Lancet Neurology. She has served as president of the Malaysian Society of Neurosciences and takes part in the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society. Through this blend of clinical practice and research, patients under her care benefit from thoughtful, up-to-date treatment.
