Dr. Leong Ming Chern

At the National Heart Institute (IJN), Dr. Leong Ming Chern serves as a Consultant Paediatric Cardiologist and holds the position of Deputy Head of the Paediatric and Congenital Heart Centre. His clinical focus centres on the long-term management of adults with congenital heart disease (ACHD) and pulmonary hypertension, and he provides comprehensive cardiac care that spans from infancy through adulthood. In addition, his proficiency covers general and interventional paediatric cardiology, including transcatheter pulmonary valve implantation and the management of cardiac conditions during pregnancy. Dr. Leong also takes an active part in research and holds leadership roles, among them a council membership with the Malaysian Society of Paediatric Cardiology, reflecting his commitment to advancing congenital heart disease care.
