Her training includes a Fellowship in Geriatric Medicine from the United Kingdom, which gave her advanced preparation in this field, along with a Membership of the Royal Colleges of Physicians (MRCP) of the United Kingdom that strengthens her grounding in internal medicine. She received her primary medical degree from the University of Malaya.
