Assoc. Prof. (C) Dr. Yap Yoke Yeow practises as a Consultant Otorhinolaryngologist (ENT), with a career in Head & Neck Surgery and deep expertise in sleep medicine. In 2013, he became the first ENT Surgeon to earn the Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification from the USA, and he went on to establish the ASEAN Sleep Federation. His work in research and innovation, particularly in sleep apnea and nasopharyngeal carcinoma, has drawn accolades including the Gold Medal at the 33rd International Exhibition of Inventions in Geneva and the WIPO Award for Best Inventor.
