Dr. Mohamad Azim Md. Idris serves as a Consultant General and Vascular Surgeon and is the Head of Department at UKMMC Kuala Lumpur. In 2007, he set up the vascular unit at HCTM, marking a significant step in the development of vascular surgery in Malaysia. His clinical focus covers complex vascular access for end-stage renal disease, limb ischemia, and abdominal aortic diseases. Beyond his surgical practice, he is engaged in stem cell research aimed at limb salvage and wound healing. He also contributes as Course Director for the Vascular Surgery Fellowship Programme, where he helps train the next generation of specialists.
