Angioplasty in Malaysia

Overview

Angioplasty, also called percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), is a non-surgical procedure used to treat narrowed coronary arteries. A small balloon is inflated inside the artery to compress plaque against the vessel wall, and a stent (small mesh tube) is usually placed to keep the artery open. This procedure is less invasive than bypass surgery and offers faster recovery. It's commonly used for patients with one or two blocked arteries and stable angina or during a heart attack.
