Dato’ Dr. Ahmad Sallehuddin serves as a Senior Consultant Paediatric Cardiothoracic Surgeon at the National Heart Institute (IJN). His clinical focus centres on congenital heart diseases, and he has built extensive expertise in complex paediatric cardiac surgery, including valve repair and surgery in low birth weight babies. He played an instrumental role in Malaysia's first heart transplant in 1997. His career has also included leadership roles at international institutions, and in 2022 he returned to IJN, bringing with him a philosophy of expert medical care combined with compassionate service.
