Datuk Dr. Shankar Gunarasa is a Board Certified General Surgeon and Consultant Colorectal Surgeon who has undergone extensive international training in Vienna and Bangkok. He focuses on minimally invasive approaches to colorectal diseases, such as perianal fistula, benign and malignant colon/rectal conditions, hernia, fecal incontinence, and rectal prolapse. His scope of practice also covers acute and chronic surgical procedures, trauma, emergency cases, thyroid, breast conditions, and endoscopy. Committed to patient care and medical education, Dr. Gunarasa has served as an Honorary Lecturer for MSU and UiTM.
