8 years of trust, care and a truly Golden Heart. ❤️ Dr. Salleh has been caring for my daughter, Medina, since the day she was born 8 years ago. He has watched her grow from a tiny baby into the little warrior she is today. Our journey has not been an easy one. What we first understood as mild autism eventually became severe autism, and later we had to face another diagnosis we never expected a mitochondrial disorder. Through every change, every new diagnosis, every difficult moment and every fear we carried as parents, Dr. Salleh has always been there for Medina. What touches me most after all these years is that he doesn’t just see her diagnosis or medical reports. He sees Medina. He understands that she cannot always communicate what she feels. He gives her time, comes down to her level and treats her with so much patience, gentleness and compassion. Dr. Salleh received the Golden Heart Award in 2018, and after knowing him for 8 years, I truly understand why. A Golden Heart is not just an award , it is reflected in the way he continues to care for his patients year after year. I also want to give my heartfelt appreciation to Nurse Ila, his PA, who has been wonderful throughout our journey. She is caring, attentive, patient and always ready to help. She knows Medina and understands her little ways, and that means so much to a parent of a special-needs child. She makes difficult hospital visits feel a little easier. When I look at Medina with Dr. Salleh today, I don’t just see a doctor and his patient. I see 8 years of our lives. From the tiny baby he first treated to the little warrior she is today, thank you, Dr. Salleh and Nurse Ila, for continuing to walk this journey with us. Some doctors treat a condition. The special ones see the child behind the diagnosis and become part of their story. You will always be part of Medina’s. ❤️
