Had a wonderful delivery experience at MSU Medical Centre under Dr. Siti Mariam. Alhamdulillah, my labour progressed very quickly and it took only about 40 minutes to deliver my baby. Dr. Siti Mariam and the nurses were extremely helpful, supportive and reassuring throughout the whole labour process. They guided me on what to do and made me feel well taken care of even though everything happened so fast. I’m truly grateful to Dr. Siti Mariam and the whole team for making my delivery experience smooth and memorable. Definitely recommended, especially for expecting mothers looking for a supportive and caring O&G team. ❤️ Thank you Dr. Siti Mariam, nurses and MSU Medical Centre! 🥰

I delivered my baby at MSU Medical Centre under Dr. Mariam, and choosing her as my doctor was one of the best decisions I made. Dr. Mariam handled my case very professionally and was very attentive throughout the whole process. Despite having a complicated case, I was able to deliver normally and safely under her care. I truly appreciate her expertise, patience, and reassurance throughout my delivery journey. The hospital service was also excellent. The midwives and nurses were very helpful, caring, and professional. Everyone made me feel well taken care of throughout my stay. The overall experience was very good, and the cost was also reasonable considering the quality of care, complicated delivery case, and service provided. Thank you to Dr. Mariam, all the midwives, nurses, and the MSUMC team for taking such good care of me and my baby. Highly recommended!

I WILL NOT RECOMMEND MSU OR DR. MARIAM TO ANYONE! Rude services. 1) WHEN I CAME AT NIGHT, WHY WASN'T A SCAN PERFORMED? The doctor said, no scanning at night, only during the day. Do people only experience labor pain during the day? Is there no pain at night? I AM PAYING FOR PRIVATE CARE, IT IS NOT FREE, SO JUST DO THE SCAN. I WAS ALREADY FEELING TIGHTENING. They only did a BCG and a vaginal check? Besides, the doctor had already anticipated the baby would arrive early at 37 weeks; why didn't they scan me immediately when I came at night? I was already 37 weeks and due. Then she got angry at me for only coming back at 40 weeks for a scan, only to find out the amniotic fluid was already running low. I am very dissatisfied with this. 2) I booked a VVIP single room because I wanted privacy and to allow my first child, who is 5 years old, to visit. But what happened? The nurses and staff at the counter outside the room were TALKING AND LAUGHING SO LOUDLY LIKE WE WERE IN A MARKET!! Dr. Mariam was shouting early in the morning, yelling at the staff—good heavens, it was so noisy. What was even more hurtful was the nurses saying children weren't allowed on the 9th floor, claiming it was to avoid noise, but then they were the ones being noisy! 3) In the labor room, this is what I really want to highlight: Verbal abuse. Dr. Mariam told me I was being dramatic for screaming. EXCUSE ME, I AM GIVING BIRTH, NOT PLAYING PING PONG?? She's so rude! The saddest part is, I chose to give birth PRIVATELY because I wanted my husband to hold my hand. But giving birth at MSU, the nurses and doctors wouldn't allow my husband to hold my hand, and they even yelled and snapped at us. The doctor was angry because I couldn't focus on holding the handles. Whose fault is it that I could no longer follow instructions? It’s the doctor’s fault for being slow and making me wait until it was too late, until I was in TOO MUCH PAIN to follow instructions. Do you expect me to follow instructions while I am in extreme pain?? We want emotional support. That’s why we are willing to pay a high price. Seriously, this is bloody emotional abuse. I might as well not have chosen private care!! Also, throughout my time in the labor room, I refused an epidural. The nurses were confused because I didn't use any pain medication during my first birth. I just endured it until I cried. One nurse doubted me and said, "Are you sure you didn't have anything before, like a pethidine injection? How would you know, you probably didn't notice because you were writhing in pain; there’s no way you just did it NATURALLY." Good God, I was so weak from the contractions, yet this nurse was insistent on arguing with me. Then, the same nurse made a statement in a HARSH tone: "That might have been the old way at your previous hospital, but the way here is different and you have to follow our protocol. If you are given pain medication here, whether it’s an injection or not, you just have to accept it because that’s the way it is here." Ironically, when I left the labor room and was being wheeled to the ward, the same nurse said to me, "Oh my God, you are so NATURAL, the birth was so easy, the baby came out so fast, you didn't even have to endure the pain for long." See, this is what I was saying. My first pregnancy was easy, no epidural, I endured the pain alone and just pushed. But this nurse refused to believe me. Seriously, all of this is very unprofessional. Seriously, it’s better to give birth privately at Razif like I did the first time. Even though the facilities at Razif look old, the doctors and nurses are professional. No hurtful words! There was only one nurse in the labor room at Razif, but she was so kind and even told my husband to hold my hand. At MSU, there were so many nurses in the labor room, but none of them were comforting! I also want to mention that Dr. Mariam arrived very late. I heard the doctor chatting while delivering my baby; she mentioned she was taking a shower and only left when I was already in pain in the labor room. It turns out the nurse lied when she said the doctor arrived at 6 a.m. It was past 8 a.m. and she still hadn't arrived??? YOU ARE WELL INFORMED THAT THERE ARE PATIENTS WAITING FROM THE NIGHT BEFORE IN PAIN AND ALREADY HAVING STRONG CONTRACTIONS AT DAWN, yet you still took your sweet time? Humm, if it were a government hospital, I wouldn't complain about waiting, but this is PRIVATE care—why should I have to wait? Isn't there another doctor on STANDBY if Dr. Mariam hasn't started her shift yet???!!! Is this how MSU handles childbirth??!!

Dr Mariam is so NOT professional and rude to my wife in labor room. Nurse gagal cucuk jarum. Sehingga dua tempat di tangan wife kena cucuk, bengkak tangan wife saya dikerjakan. What kind of private hospital is this does not allow mommies to hold their husbands hands while pushing? Only in MSU. Rude nurses in labor room. My newborn is not given with any medication on belly button, so My baby’s belly button is still wet now, reddish on the area, swollen and got infected, got puss even though already two months. Why the hell tak bagi apa2 medication? Hospital lain bagi spirit or medication untuk keringkan pusat bayi baru lahir. Apesal kt sini tak dibagi? My newborn is now almost 3 months, but pusat masih tak kering. This hospital is not good for your wife and baby’s health. Dear mommies out there, do not deliver your baby here. Do your due diligence. Read the lowest reviews in here. Avoid this place while u still can. Not worth of your money. Worse place ever.
