My sincere appreciation to Dr. Thanee for successfully performing my laparoscopic procedure on 31 December, and to Dr. Raveen and his anaesthesia team for their excellent care. Both teams were highly professional, efficient, and ensured I experienced no discomfort. I was very impressed. Thank you as well to all the staff of Wad Melati for taking such good care of me throughout my stay. Keep up the great work.

Avisena’s tagline is “With us, it’s always personal.” But my recent experience has been the exact opposite! careless, dismissive, and dangerous. I was under the care of Dr. Thanee, who clearly stated and recorded my EDD as 19/9, which is also written in my antenatal book. However, the medical report issued by Avisena’s records department wrongly states my EDD as 15/9 and even listed my gestation incorrectly (they wrote 35w2d on 18/7, when in reality I was 35w6d on 20/8). For someone with gestational diabetes (GDM), an accurate EDD is critical because I cannot safely go post-dates. This is not a minor clerical error — it could directly affect medical decisions for both mother and baby. I have since transferred to another hospital and my new doctors urgently require the corrected medical report in order to manage my pregnancy safely. I should be focusing on my baby’s health at this stage, not chasing down errors from a hospital I already left. Yet despite explaining this urgency to Syahira from the Medical Report team, her only response was that it would take 14 working days and cost RM150 just to “correct” Avisena’s own mistake. By then, I could already have delivered — making the report useless when it matters most. I have given birth at Avisena before, and I never expected such careless treatment from a hospital I once trusted. Dr. Thanee was excellent, but the hospital’s reporting/administration has been irresponsible and unacceptable. For a hospital that claims “it’s always personal,” this experience has been anything but. P/S: Someone from the hospital needs to contact me immediately to resolve this before my delivery. (I’m 36 weeks pregnant as of today!)
