Had a very pleasant experience with Dr. Yega throughout my pregnancy and C-section journey. Before returning to Penang, I had follow-ups at two hospitals in KL, and later continued my follow-ups at Lam Wah Ee. Dr. Yega was by far one of the warmest and most helpful doctors I met. He made me feel comfortable, supported, and well taken care of throughout the journey. I’m truly grateful that he was the doctor who welcomed my baby into the world. In 2025, I changed my maternity doctor from a reputable private hospital due to a disappointing experience. I used to queue as early as 6:00 a.m. to avoid the long waiting times for a well-known doctor, but after hours of waiting, I found that the doctor was not barely took the time to explain things properly or speak kindly. It was quite frustrating, especially for pregnant mothers who invest so much time and effort into attending their appointments. To make matters worse, the clinic staff often appeared with attitudes and grumpy expressions, which made the overall experience even less pleasant. I then decided to try Lam Wah Ee Hospital and chose Dr. Yegappan. To my surprise, the experience was completely different. Dr. Yega is kind, caring, approachable, and professional. He takes the time to listen, explain things clearly, and ensure that his patients feel comfortable, reassured, and well cared for. Another person I would love to acknowledge is Dr. Swaran Singh, the anesthesiologist. He was truly a gem throughout my delivery experience. From the moment I met him, he made sure I felt calm, reassured, and comfortable throughout the procedure. What touched me the most was that he even offered a prayer for me before the procedure began, which brought me a great sense of peace and confidence. His kindness, compassion, and professionalism meant so much to me during such an important moment in my life. Thank you, Dr. Swaran Singh and Dr.Yegappan, for being part of my delivery journey and for supporting me every step of the way. In addition, the service at Lam Wah Ee Hospital has been excellent. The waiting time & price is reasonable, and the overall patient experience is far more comfortable and welcoming. I highly recommend Dr. Yega, Dr. Swaran Singh, and Lam Wah Ee Hospital to any expectant mother looking for quality maternity care in Penang. “I am truly grateful to have had Dr. Yegappan(G&O) as my gynaecologist throughout my pregnancy journey at Lam Wah Ee Hospital .He is extremely professional, humble, kind, and caring.
