Very disappointed with the front-desk service Recently, I made an appointment to see Dr. Yoga, an orthopedic specialist, for my husband. Unfortunately, his pain has been getting worse, so I called the clinic to ask if we could move the appointment to tomorrow because the situation has become urgent. I understand that the appointment slots may be fully booked. However, I was told by the front desk that I could check with Dr. Yoga’s staff to see if anything could be arranged. When I spoke to the staff, I was very disappointed by the way I was treated. The response was extremely rude: “Penuh, penuh lah. Kena cari hari lain untuk appointment,” and the call was then abruptly ended. I completely understand that the clinic may be busy and that it may not be possible to accommodate every request. However, patients who are calling because they are in pain should still be treated with courtesy, patience, and empathy. A simple explanation or polite response would have made a huge difference. We really like Dr. Yoga and have always found him to be very professional, caring, and excellent in his service. Unfortunately, the attitude of the front-desk staff makes it difficult for patients to access him and, in my opinion, negatively affects the reputation of an otherwise excellent doctor. I sincerely hope the management will take this feedback seriously and provide better training to the front-desk team on how to communicate with patients, especially when dealing with urgent situations. We appreciate Dr. Yoga very much, but good medical care should also be supported by good patient service from the entire team.

My experience at Columbia Asia Hospital today was extremely disappointing. I specifically took time off work and woke up early to bring my mother-in-law for her twisted ankle. We had a scheduled appointment with Dr. Yoga, but the nurse initially said there was no appointment and directed us to the counter. After the counter confirmed our appointment, they sent us back in, only to be told again that the system showed no appointment, and we were asked to leave once more. Finally, we were directed to the emergency department, and then told to go home. Throughout the entire process, we were constantly "passed around," wasting the patient's time and energy. Dr. Yoga's nurse also had a poor attitude, making us feel very impatient. The hospital's appointment system and inter-departmental communication are truly terrible. I hope management will seriously address these issues.
