The 123-bedded facility cares for people in Kuantan and the surrounding states, with close to 50 specialist consultants delivering personalised healthcare to the community. More than 400 employees keep the hospital running, while 30 resident medical and surgical Consultants cover disciplines that include Anaesthesiology, Cardiology, ENT, General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Neurosurgery, O&G, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, Paediatrics and Radiology. Consultant practice is backed by facilities such as Pharmacy, Laboratory, Cathlab / Angiogram, 64 Slice CT Scanner, MRI, Ultrasound, Mammogram (Stereotactic Biopsy), General X-Ray, Dialysis, Operating Theatre, Accident & Emergency Unit (24 hours), Physiotherapy, and ICU/CCU. KPJ Pahang also became one of the first private hospitals on the East Coast equipped with a Cathlab Facility, allowing its medical consultants to carry out angiograms as well as angioplasty and stenting procedures.
