Dr. Fong Voon Hoong is an unethical unprofessional doctor. I, Tan Chai Har, saw this doctor on November 5,2024, at Gleneagles Hospital Kuala Lumpur for nasal block (based on his Google reviews) After checking he told me it was a polyp . He then scheduled surgery for November 14, 2024 without proper explanation and biopsy. He said it was a minor surgery. And he didnt think it was tumour. The next day after surgery the doctor asked me to come to his clinic. He told me that during the surgery, there was a lot of bleeding. And he was not sure what it was .He had only completed half of the surgery, leaving the other half inside my nose due to uncontrolled bleeding. He told me it was not what he expected . I then told my insurance agent about it as I felt it was something not right about this doctor. My agent immediately told me that as a doctor, he couldn't just joke around and risk my life based on amere assumption. Ironically, this unethical doctor even told me that he had never seen this kind of case (CARCINOMA) before, and that he would consult with other doctors about my condition. Then he kept advertising Dato Lee Chong Wei in front of me and family hinting Dato lee was his patient. My family was going to complain to Gleaneagles Hospital Kuala Lumpur about this unethical doctor, but I was so frightened and I didn’t want to waste time and just wanted to get my illness treated ( as i was very weak after the surgery ) as quickly as possible by another more qualified and ethical doctor who saved my life in other hospital.

Overall, the service at the hospital in oncology (DATO DR FUAD) and from DR FONG VOON HONG was very good and professional, with very clear explanations. The nurses were friendly and good, and the hospital was clean.
