This review is not about the doctor Dr James Kok, but to help future patients set expectations. I arrived at 7:40am, registered, and was told there were 25 patients ahead of me. I was advised to return at 1:30pm as it would be my turn by then. I came back at 1:15pm, but still waited another 4 hours before seeing the doctor. By then, I had gone from cheerful and energetic to completely exhausted. Even the doctor is exhausted no lunch break only toilet breaks. The consultation lasted about only 10 minutes abit a rushed. I expected a bit more attention than 10mins. The doctor performed a scope examination, prescribed a nasal spray, and explained that my symptoms could be related to dust mites, as I had already done food allergy testing before. My main feedback is regarding the waiting time. If the actual waiting time was likely to be closer to 5pm, it would have been helpful to know that upfront so I could plan my day better. I was also a little surprised by the final bill of Rm496 considering the brief 10mins consultation, nursing services, scope procedure, and one spray. I understand specialist care comes at a cost, but clearer expectations on waiting times and charges would make the experience much better. If you’re planning to visit, just be prepared for a very, very long wait. Consultation I noticed most have 30mins, but mine was 10mins.
