The treatment plan was executed promptly and the team at OPD 1 under the care of Dr Lum Wan Wei was so friendly towards me….. always ready to assist me and they give me lots of courage to pull thru. Im truly blessed to have Dr Lum Wan Wei and Dr Devanand as they both are god sends Dr to me as their care is above excellent….. Kudos to Ms Rani for always being my back bone at this godly hospital and definitely im satisfied with the meals served too…. I’m writing on behalf of my sister in law who has passed on recently. She has been a patient at Beacon Hospital since 2015 when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. The doctors who had treated her were Dato Dr Mohamed Ibrahim, Dr. Lum and Dr Lee Foo Chiang who did surgery on her brain, Dr Tho was her oncologist till her passing. Thanks to the advance and up to date cancer treatment at Beacon Hospital. And lastly Dr Goh who treated her when she complained of epilepsy symptoms and fluid in her lungs. They have been very helpful to her and provided her with the best treatment available. She is especially happy with the food at the canteen and always tells me that it’s safe, healthy and flavourful, and she was very happy when her follow-up appointments coincides with lunch time, she would have very good appetite. When she was admitted to the hospital last month and was drained of all her energy because of the strong antibiotics, she told me she wanted to eat more fish/protein to build back her immune system, and told Nany, the head of F&B, that she wanted more fish in her porridge and was very happy that her request was met. As for me, I did my health screening blood test at Beacon Hospital last year and was pleasantly surprised by the friendly and efficient PR staff

With deep appreciation &sincere thank you to each & everyone from Beacon Hospital from all level. Beacon really provide best caring & help to their patients. Dr Mathi Arasu is an excellent doctor who really care for me not just physically but mentally. He is full of compassion & make sure I am worries free b4 & after surgery. Same to Dr Lum Wan Wei. He knows what is the best treatment for me. Both of them really do more then their doctor job. It is a great blessing I was in good hands by Dr Mathi & Dr Lum. All the nurses in Tulip ward are excellent. They really put their heart to help patients like their own parents /relatives. Even though they r not well themselves, they still put on a smile & help patients every need in the ward. F&, Joyce really keep us to hv good appetite by introducing good food to patient. Also the cooks really cook with loving kindness. Delicious foods. Dietitian, Ms Hoo, thank you for teaching /guide me how to eat well to get back my strength.

Whilst we found Dr Lum and Dr Felicia to be very experienced and provided the perspective of holistic care, the palliative care team service are under par. We engaged occupational therapist home visit who wasn't experienced enough, and was outsourced. Discussion with nutritionist was unhelpful, recommending milk supplement drinks eventually. Overall, no one will follow up. Very disappointed. Thankfully we found Hospis Malaysia who supported us closely, and all of their services are free!
