Professor Dato' Dr Kwan Mun Keong is recognised as one of Malaysia's leading spine surgeons and is a highly respected academic in orthopaedic surgery. His MBBS and MS Orthopaedics were both earned at the University of Malaya, providing a solid foundation in local medical training, and he has since developed a substantial clinical and research profile. His primary sub-specialty is spinal deformity surgery, with a particular focus on scoliosis, including adolescent idiopathic scoliosis. He manages both non-operative and operative cases, and also performs minimally invasive stabilization techniques (MISt) using percutaneous pedicle screws.
