My bad outcome is totally different from what other reviewers have described. I put my trust in Dr. Bong, and my life has been turned upside down. I had FiLAC (laser fistula surgery) with Dr. Bong on last year December. Before the operation, he told me there was a 70% success rate, that healing would take about two months, and that my daily activities would not be seriously affected. What actually happened: More than four months after surgery, my wound is still open. I have daily discharge and sharp pain. I am worse off than before my first surgery. I followed every instruction – medication, sitz baths 3–4 times a day, but nothing has helped. I have lost my job because I simply cannot recover or return to work. False information and refusal to take responsibility: · When I asked why healing was taking so long, he changed his answer to “3–6 months” – contradicting his original two‑month promise. · He refused to offer any alternative follow‑up clinic, repeatedly telling me “ONLY HERE” (Regency Specialist Hospital) – even after I explained the hospital had overcharged me twice: first surgery RM11k vs RM8k estimate, second surgery RM19k vs RM13k estimate, with no prior warning. · Only after a long and difficult exchange did he finally say “You can go to any surgery clinic in Singapore” – but by then he had shown zero sympathy for the destruction of my quality of life. Unprofessional and uncaring responses: When I told him I had lost my job and my daily life was ruined, he ignored the emotional and financial devastation. His reply was simply “when can you come back for follow up?” and later “the cost is just estimation… not under my control.” No apology. No useful clinical advice for my ongoing failure. No real effort to help a patient who trusted him. Conclusion: Dr. Bong gave me false reassurance about success rates and healing time. His post‑operative care essentially meant “come back to Regency or suffer alone” until he was forced to admit otherwise. I have paid thousands of ringgit, lost my job, and still live in pain every day. I strongly urge anyone considering fistula surgery to get a second opinion and avoid this doctor. He may be technically competent, but his honesty, empathy, and follow‑up responsibility are dangerously lacking. P.S.I have full records to back up everything stated here, and I am prepared to share them if necessary.
