I am extremely disappointed with the care I received from Dr. Elizabeth at Thompson Hospital. I visited her twice for severe one-sided throat pain, but both times I felt the examination was not thorough, including a camera check that lasted only a few seconds. I was initially misdiagnosed with acid reflux and charged over RM600 for unnecessary consultations and medicine that did not work. When my symptoms worsened, she suggested an expensive CT scan and immediate surgery. I sought a second opinion elsewhere and was accurately diagnosed with tonsillitis; I recovered quickly with an antibiotic injection and tablets, proved surgery was not necessary. It was a very stressful and costly experience that could have been avoided with a more thorough initial evaluation."
