He graduated with distinction from the University of Malaya and then undertook advanced ophthalmology training in the United Kingdom, gaining experience at several eye centres, among them the Tennent Institute of Ophthalmology in Glasgow and the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital. His training led to the award of a Fellowship by the Royal College of Ophthalmologists in London. Prior to his return to Malaysia, Dr. Ho spent six years as a Consultant at the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital, where he handled a broad spectrum of complex retinal conditions and refined his surgical abilities. His dual fellowship training in Vitreoretina Surgery and Corneal Refractive Surgery in Manchester represents an uncommon and valuable combination, enabling him to deliver comprehensive care for both the front and back of the eye. I recently had cataract surgery with Dr. Ho Whye Onn, and honestly, I was quite nervous at the beginning. But after meeting Dr. Ho Whye Onn, I felt much more at ease. He was very patient and took the time to explain everything clearly, which really helped calm me down. The whole surgery process was smoother than I expected, and I felt well taken care of throughout. Dr. Ho and the team were very professional and reassuring. After the surgery, my vision improved a lot, and I’m really happy with the outcome. Recovery was also quicker than I thought. Overall, I’m very grateful to Dr. Ho for his skill and care. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who is considering cataract surgery.

I would like to thank Dr Ho Whye Onn who performed vitrectomy for repair of retinal detachment on my eye. He is very kind and compassionate to his patients. He always takes his time to conduct a thorough eye examination and offer his precious time to explain the condition to me. Lately I have developed cataract and again I have chosen Dr Ho Whye Onn as my surgeon. He performed phacoemulsification and lens implant and improved my vision. I believe he is highly trained overseas in United Kingdom England. I would strongly recommend Dr Ho Whye Onn👍

Had my surgery (known as Vitrectomy) for retinal detachment about 6 weeks ago. I am pleased with the results of the surgery as well as the care prior and post surgery by Dr. Ho Whye Onn ISEC. Dr. Ho Whye Onn is very professional in that he explained clearly the condition of my affected eye and what to expect. I like that he is informative and very patient in that he is willing to answer your questions. Due to the badly deteriorated condition of my eye at the time I consulted Dr. Ho Whye Onn and he told me that the chances of my vision being restored would be 50-60%. I am thankful that due to Dr. Ho’s skill, the surgery turned out to be a success. Thank you Dr. Ho, nurses and all at ISEC.

My experience in ISEC KL for my cataract surgery on my right eye has been excellence when Dr Ho Whye Onn and his colleague team member has been indeed careful and professional. My surgery was done 22 December 2020 and I was so nervous and scared but Dr Ho has been doing his very best making me feeling relax and comfort throughout the surgery. I will return for another cataract surgery on my left eye and I'm definitely engaged Dr Ho again.
