At Sunway Medical Centre Damansara, Dr. Yong Meng Hsien practises as a Consultant Ophthalmologist whose work centres on the full spectrum of eye health and vision care. His medical degree, the MBBS, was earned at the University of Malaya, and he went on to complete a doctorate in Ophthalmology at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). During his training he received a number of accolades, among them the University Book Prize and the Penang Medical Practitioners Society Gold Medal. Dr. Yong's particular clinical interest lies in diseases of the cornea, lens, and ocular surface. He performs advanced procedures that include refractive surgery, complex cataract surgeries, and corneal transplants, and he treats a broad range of conditions such as dry eye, glaucoma, and medical retinal diseases. Patients are able to communicate with him in English, Malay, Mandarin, Cantonese, or Hakka, and he places strong emphasis on clear, compassionate care so that each person understands and feels at ease with every step of their treatment.

Took my son to see Dr Yong Meng Hsien for an eye infection. Doctor was fantastic...understaning, patient and meticulous! His nurse (Kavitha) was also very accommodating and efficient as we were walking in patient. We managed to see the Dr with minimal wait! Registration and payment and the pharmacy were also very quick and efficient!
